A long journey that continues to unfold. Lesonit is embarking on a renovation project for some of its production plants and facilities, specifically focusing on “Fiberboard Production Modernization.” The aesthetic aspect will be meticulously maintained by architect Pietro Valle from Studio Valle Architetti Associati, who is also integrally involved with the parent company Fantoni, ensuring a cohesive and harmonious design.

An historic company that grows and renovates itself

The roots of Lesonit date back to 1938, when a joint-stock Company, “Fallersa”, was founded in Trieste and started its business in Ilirska Bistrica. Immediately after the Second World War, a local team of enthusiasts repaired war-damaged facilities and started production. Lesonit established itself as a producer of fiberboard panels by the wet process and became one of the most important European companies in this sector. In 1978, Lesonit converted to the production of dry fiberboard panels.

In 2000 the Company was acquired by the Fantoni Group, which, at that time, decided to start a massive modernization process of its plants and business restructuring of the company.  The modernization process ended in 2007 and consisted in a 65 million overall investment.

Lesonit is today a technologically advanced Company specialized in the production of MDF panels and laminated panels.  The modernization was achieved by sharing know-how and technical knowledge within the group.

The company coexists with other companies within the Fantoni group.  Benefiting from a strategic geographical location, Lesonit represents an important production facility within a relevant area from both an economic and a commercial point of view.

Seen the great technical innovations introduced, its architectural structures and productive plants rank the Company between the most forefront Companies in the European scene. All of this is the result of ongoing technological improvements.

Now the moment for the rennovation of certain production plants and facilities has come!
